Submissions: Do This Now
I've just discovered that Mslexia runs a fabulous 'Get Published' workshop on their website. This is just a very quick post to get this out to you so you can get your submissions ready. This page on their site covers the submissions process, literary agents, finding an agent/publisher etc. Before you click off to that page, make sure you look at the note below. Get published page.
Mslexia also invites writers to submit their work, both for their online and hard copy versions of the magazine. Their contributors' guidelines are very detailed so make sure you look at the relative information before sending in submissions.
New additions to writing jobs page
Before I go off to enjoy the rest of my week-end, here are a couple of writing opportunities to add to my writing jobs page. Follow the link for some amazing writing and verse jobs.
Follow the link to Pages of Stories. They're an online Canadian short story magazine and accept stories of most genres. There's a link on their home page for you to send them an email requesting a submissions' guideline. They pay $150.00 for published stories.
They publish humorous greeting cards and will pay handsomely for your submissions. The guidelines are quite detailed, so take time to read them before submitting. You don't have to be a writer to do this one, just have a great sense of humour.
So get your submissions ready and send them in as early as you can. Mslexia has a cut off point for some of their submissions requests, so don't get left behind. If you find this page useful, please add it to your favourite networking sites or send it to someone who can benefit from it.
Happy submitting!

This is great information for writers Anne, you have provided some excellent links. Even though I am not much of a writer I will be checking out a couple of them.
Thank you for the nice words about my photos today. The chain link fence provided a fun opportunity for trying out some new techniques.
As always you have some very useful, helpful, and fantastic info to pass on Anne. Thanks..
